In 2014, Neilson Park received a transformational $74,500 investment from the Jays Care Foundation's Field of Dreams program. This initiative brought new life to our diamonds, ensuring Scarborough kids have access to top-quality facilities right in their own community.
The unveiling ceremony was a day our community will never forget. Blue Jays legends Roberto Alomar, Lloyd Moseby, and Sandy Alomar Sr. joined local families to celebrate the renovated fields. These Hall of Famers threw out ceremonial first pitches and spent time with young players, inspiring the next generation of Scarborough baseball talent.
The refurbishment included upgraded playing surfaces, new fencing, improved drainage systems, and enhanced safety features. Today, Neilson Park stands as one of the premier youth baseball facilities in the GTA — home to the Stingers 2011 HP, who return here each spring after year-round indoor training at RBI Development Centre.
